She prescribed me Celexa at bedtime for the anxiety and due to the side effect drowsiness, that way I was able to get to sleep. I am know on the max dose and have been so happy, able to sleep and not feel so anxious. This pill has very minimal side effects and works wonders in a persons life. Let me just say, that Celexa has changed my changed my life for the better. I feel more optimistic, and I can smile again. I'm on 5 MG of Celexa and at first it can make you sleep and lose interest in daily activities but it gets better after a month or so. I been going on and off it unintentionally bc I forget to take it so it threw me off and made me worse but it does pass. You mention awareness of it already, but let me emphatically say do not quit cold turkey when you start feeling better. It made me hallucinate and generally feel like crap. Hi, I jut wanted to say how glad I am to hear that feeling better does eventually happen as Im running out of patience, I thought I felt alot better after only 12 days of meds, silly me, what I should have realised is that I feel alot better when Im at home where I feel 'safe'. felt so much better after being on this med for a while I decided to wean myself off it.bad move as I experienced such a bad relapse of severe depression, I thought I would never feel better again. I went back on this med and finally 6 mos later I am feeling better again. Be careful about going off your meds without doc supervision, it was a lot harder for me to feel better after relapse. One. I was on Celexa 60mgs for 8 years until it 'pooped' out early last year. My main issue is constant anxiety which then sends me into deep depression. I have been on celexa for over three months and feel much better now. Buspirone had more of a calming sedation feel, celexa puts me in a better frame of mind. That is the best way to describe the difference between them. Anxiety symptoms have gone away. Might be a rough start but stick with it. I was put on celexa for anxiety and found that it was making me feel quite numb and emotionless. I have just started to taper off and it is very encouraging to hear that others have had similar experiences with this drug.
